The Challenge
Parkers Auction had outgrown their manual auction process. They needed a fully digital platform that could handle real-time competitive bidding for hundreds of vehicles, with a secure payment rail, admin dashboard, and bidder-facing mobile experience — all built from scratch.
Our Approach
We architected the platform around WebSocket-based real-time events for live bid updates, with PostgreSQL for auction state and Redis for ephemeral bid caching.
The frontend was built in Next.js with optimistic UI updates so bidders never felt latency. We implemented event-sourced auction state for full auditability and multi-region deployment for low-latency bidders.
Admin dashboard included full auction creation, vehicle management, bidder management, and fraud detection flags.
